Participants in the Flexible Spending Account program can have a personal account set up to have pre–taxed income set aside for unreimbursed Health Care Expenses and/or Dependent Care Expenses.
With careful planning, a Flexible Spending Account can help lower the amount of taxes employees pay and provide relief on the cost of some of the necessary expenses of working and staying healthy. This is a voluntary (employee–paid) program.
