SHORT–TERM DISABILITY
A voluntary (employee–paid) Short Term Disability plan provides income to an employee in the event (s)he becomes disabled. This benefit would begin on the 8th day of disability and continue for a maximum of 3 months.
Employees can purchase coverage for up to 60% of their pre-disability income (up to 40% in California, Hawaii, New Jersey, New York, and Rhode Island).
LONG–TERM DISABILITY
This CLARK–paid benefit provides Long-Term Disability in the event of a disability lasting longer than three (3) months. This benefit provides 66 2/3% income of pre–disability earnings.
