Telesales Account Manager Job Summary:
To influence customer behavior and increase the company’s market share by assuming the service responsibility for an assigned group of accounts. Responsibilities include performing activities, which lead to building and maintaining a sales relationship with each account that will grow profits via the telephone.
Essential Functions:
- Establish a sales strategy for your territory by making a plan for each accounts growth potential. Match up our company value added services and promotions to the customer needs.
- Set Top 15 Monthly S.M.A.R.T. Goals and achieve them each month.
- Building relationships with each account, you are a business partner.
- Perform calls to match sales strategy and record all account activity into JEMS.
- Make a minimum of 35 outbound calls per day.
- Contact all dealers 2x per month, with a rotating schedule every two weeks.
- Create a sales packet each month to present all relevant marketing flyers and promotions to the appropriate customer type
- Prepare quotes and process customer requests for samples and literature.
- Negotiate account pricing and freight terms, as needed and within company parameters.
- Prospect NEW customers to CLARK by using other tools (internet, yellow pages etc…)
- Meet territory sales goals, GP% and find new business as agreed upon with your sales manager.
- Qualify accounts with leads given to you by your sales leader.
- Review account activity with sales manager and adjust strategy to grow sales.
- Perform general special project(s) telemarketing calls as needed.
- Enter orders received on outbound calls and coordinate shipments with branch.
- Funnel competitive information to your direct manager, copying the BOM and RSM of your branch.
- Ensure open communication with the branch(s) you represent by attending sales conference calls, meetings and give ideas to management team related to customer service and sales.
- Attend telesales sales meetings, company trade shows and training classes as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Two years telephone sales and customer service experience
Skills/Abilities/Knowledge:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Suite
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Knowledge of hardware products, local and regional needs and competition
- Effective organizational skills
- Ability to establish and maintain good customer service with internal and external customers
- Compliance with branch and company operational procedures
- Ability to explain benefits, values and features of services offered by CLARK
- Ability to ask questions using open and closed probes and listen to uncover customers’ needs for additional services.
Physical Requirements:
- Repetitive hand movements for PC and writing
- Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift/carry/reach materials
